We’ve been watching Shogun, which has me thinking about political strategy, specifically as it relates to the far right and their so called wars on everything. Trump and his cronies and sycophants act like buffoons. They seem to believe they can do whatever they want. And this is what the media likes to report on because it’s got all the entertainment of a soap opera. It’s what political thinkers and culture writers react to because it evokes strong emotions in us. So, is a dictatorship inevitable? Can one win a war with strategy if the other side doesn’t play by the rules? Can we actually save ourselves without a real civil war, without women and our supporters and other abused peoples taking up arms against our oppressors?
